Who We Are: Meet Triple8Care

There are moments when people need support, not just with tasks, but with being understood.

Triple8Care was born from noticing those moments, especially in communities where asking for help often carries quiet shame. In many CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) families, support needs were often being overlooked, dismissed, or handle in silence.

This wasn't just a one-off issue, it was part of a larger pattern rooted in cultural beliefs, social stigma, and a system that doesn't always meet people where they're at. To really understand what's going on, we need to look more closely at the barriers CALD communities face when it comes to seeking support.

Understanding the Challenges Faced by CALD Communities

In many CALD families, disability, mental health, or needing external assistance can be seen as taboo, something to keep private or even deny. This cultural pressure can lead people to suffer in silence rather than speak up.

Research has found that:

  • Stigma and shame are major barriers preventing individuals from CALD backgrounds from accessing support services like the NDIS.

  • Language barriers and lack of culturally appropriate services can make navigating the system confusing or discouraging.

  • There is often a mistrust or unfamiliarity with formal systems, especially among new migrants or older generations, who may come from countries where asking for help wasn't encourged or safe.

At Triple8Care, this awareness sits at the heart of how we approach support. Not just with cultural sensitivity, but with patience, openness, and an understanding that, for many, this is the first time they've ever reached out for help.

Our Commitment

At Triple8Care, we recognise these challenges and are committed to providing support that is culturally sensitive and accessible.

Our approach includes:

  • Culturally Competent Staff: Ensuring our team is trained to understand and respect diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Language Support: Providing services in multiple languages to bridge communication gaps.

  • Community Engagement: Actively engaging with CALD communities to understand their unique needs and tailor our service accordingly.

By addressing these barriers, we aim to crearte an environment where individuals from all backgrounds feel comfortable seeking the support they need.

Why We Started

Triple8Care grew out of quiet conversations. Within our own families, among friends, and across our communities. We saw too many people, especially from CALD backgrounds, carrying their struggles in silence. Support was often misunderstood, unavailable, or wrapped in shame. People felt like they had to manage on their own, and when they did reach out, they weren't always met with understanding.

We started Triple8Care because we knew things could be different. We wanted to build something grounded in empathy. A place where people could feel safe to ask for help and be met with respect, not judgment.

So, we brought together a team who genuinely care. People who are willing to pause, listen, and hold space for others with patience and heart.

What We Do

Support can look different for everyone and at Triple8Care, we take pride in offering care that adapts to each individual. Whether someone needs a bit of help at home, support to get out into the community, or guidance in building everyday skills, we're here to walk alongside them.

Here are some of the areas we support through the NDIS:

  • Daily personal care and home routines

  • Getting out and about in the community

  • Travel and transport

  • Building life skills and confidence

But it's never just about the tasks, it's about the person. We tailor our support to each individual, moving at their pace, honouring their choices, and celebrating their wins. Every visit, every conversation, every shared moment — it all matters. Because when support is delivered with care, it becomes more than just help; it becomes connection.

Every person's journey is different, and so is the support that feels right. That's why at Triple8Care, we don't believe in one-size-fits-all. We take the time to understand what matters to you --- what feels safe, what feels helpful, and what truly makes a difference in your day-to-day life.

If you've read this far and something in our story resonates, whether it's the way we work, the values we hold, or the kind of support you've been looking for --- we're here.

Thinking About Support?

Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, especially if it's your first time, or if past experiences have left you feeling unsure.

We're not here to make promises we can't keep or push you into anything that doesn't feel right. We simply believe that care should feel comfortable, human, and tailored to you.

If you're considering Triple8Care for yourself, a loved one, or someone you support, we're here to talk—no pressure, just a chance to connect, understand your needs and see how we can help.

You can reach out when you're ready. We're here when you need us.
